There was a king name Manasseh who had difficulty serving God. God just couldn’t get Manasseh’s attention.
2 Chronicles 33:11-12 says, “Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.”
God may sometimes have to pull you from your throne, just like he did Manasseh, and bring affliction upon you. Even the sorrowful things in our lives work together for our good. Romans 8:28 says, “All things work together for good to them that love God and to them that are the called according to His purpose.”
