Do you know what God is interested in? Not making you happy. God’s goal for you is to make you holy, to purge and purify you. That’s what God is doing in your life if you are saved. The moment you got saved, God began His work to make you pure and holy.
God is not as interested in your automobile as you are. If He has to wreck it, it’s not going to bother Him. God is not as interested in your job as you are. If He wants to take it, it’s not going to bother Him. God is not as interested in your health as you are. God will touch all of these things if it is necessary to make you holy.
Malachi 3:2-3 says, “But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.”
