“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.” Ephesians 4:4
There are three possible points of view on this verse. One is right, and two, although widely believed by many, are wrong.
View one: There is one body in Christ, all Believers are part of this one body, or faith, or Church; whatever you want to call it. All who believe in Jesus Christ are united, there are no divisions – race, color, ethnicity etc., do not matter.
View two: All who believe in Jesus Christ, except the Jewish people are a part of this one body in Christ. There is a name for this belief, it is called replacement theology, and it is very misguided, and very wrong.
View three: Same as view two, except that many of those who believe in view two, also leave out anyone who is not white – as in white nationalism (I do not endorse this site, or all of what they say, but their explanation is fairly good). This is unfortunately the viewpoint of Gab’s owner and many others on Gab, and elsewhere. According to these people on Gab, whites founded the U.S., and the U.S. should be a white only nation, while at the same time proclaiming that the Jewish people control Trump and the Congress etc., and are at fault for every ill in the world. Jewish hate runs strong on Gab.
Jesus chewed out the Pharisees up one side and down the other. Many mistakenly assume that Jesus was, therefore, against all Jews, especially since Jesus told them that their father was the devil, but was He speaking to all Jewish people?
I submit to you that this view is 100% wrong, and here is why:
- The writers of the New Testament were with one exception (Luke) all Jewish.
- The Apostle Peter spoke, and the result was 3000 people being saved – born again, most of these were without a doubt Jewish (Acts 2:14-41).
- 1 Corinthians 12 makes it clear that all who accept Jesus Christ are part of the same body! “13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many.” 1 Corinthians 12:13-14
- The Apostle John very clearly states that if you hate your brother (Who you have seen), then how can you love God, who you have not seen? John says: “he is a liar” (1 John 4:20). If you say that the Jewish people (Or other people groups) are not my brothers and sisters, then you imply that the Bible is a lie.
- In Romans 11, the Apostle Paul makes it very clear that in the end, when the full complement of the Gentiles has come in, then will the people of Israel be saved – not all, but some.
It’s human nature for “birds of a feather” to flock together, but that is in no way an excuse to exclude all others. Nowhere in the Bible will you find any teaching that the Jews or any other people group are excluded from the covenant in Christ.
Revelation 7 further reinforces this, making it crystal clear that there are no divisions, no exclusions from the body of Christ:
“9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10
The only people excluded from the body of Christ? Those who refuse Him. Period.
Those who insist that certain people groups etc., are excluded from the body of Christ – are sinning against Jesus Christ. Jesus died for ALL people, not just whites.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
